Golf With Your Quantum Mind

Sunday, October 1st, 2006

So many golfers are stuck in a box of their own creation that keeps them

at the playing level they think they should be at. If only they knew that

their mind could create and manifest great golf rounds…

Does that headline create some curiosity in you? Are you wondering what the heck

this is going to be about. As I came up for the idea to write about this,
I wasn’t quite sure myself. But then I thought, let’s just go first to a book
called “Quantum Golf” by Kjell Enhager.
I first read this book a couple years ago, before I was trained in
Neuro-linguistic Programming (I’m now a Master Practitioner).
And to be honest, I didn’t understand it at all. I even discussed it
with my local pro and between the two of us, decided that it was
a book that was better left to the psychology wizards.
Lately, I’ve been extremely fascinated with learning about what is
called “Quantum Physics”
(What does this have to do with golf? Don’t worry, I’ll get there).
It seems that scientists have been studying about things that are smaller
than atoms since the turn of the 20th century and that’s what they call
this science. Remember in high school or maybe before that, we were all
taught that the building blocks of all matter are atoms? Well, it turns
out it’s not true.
The big “Aha” about Quantum Physics is that we create our reality through
our observations and thoughts. And it’s now been proven by physicists.
These scientists were so baffled by this idea that some of them ended up
turning to mystic religions and others went bonkers over it.
Fast forward to Quantum Golf. It’s a fictional story about a man named
Smith. He’s from New York and a typical golfer who has taken numerous
lessons and done everything under the sun in an attempt to improve his
game (sound like anyone you know?). In desperation, he is told of this golf pro,
St. Claire, who lives in the middle of nowhere in the farmlands of middle America.
Smith flies out to take lessons from him and at the end of the story,
of course, he “gets it” and starts to play beyond what he thought was
possible. He is taught about creating a “superfluid” swing. He learns to
have “Q vision.” St. Claire tells him about the difference between “classical golf”
and “Quantum golf.” Classical golf is about the conscious swing and has gotten
him nowhere so far. He tells him that those who have mastered Quantum golf hit
the ball perfectly straight!St. Claire teaches him such ideas as: “The mind has
its attention only on the surface level, and then what you’re failing to take into
consideration as your priority is the unchanging, reliable inner being of the
individual who is swinging the club.
“Starting to sound a little far out now? Ok, that’s what I thought too the first
time I read this book. But now, it all makes perfect sense to me. You see,
classical physics teaches us about how everything is mechanical. About how you
can trace back every cause to it’s effect in a way that can be described or codified
by mathematics and known laws of our planet such as gravity. This is so much like
folks who think that the gateway to playing great golf is to consciously work on their
golf swing until they somehow come to the idea in their own mind that it is now

perfect…and THAT never happens!Quantum golf and Quantum physics itself allows
for the dynamic of the human mind to actually change reality. Yes, that’s what I wrote…
CHANGE REALITY. Now, I’m not going to get into a discussion about what is reality
because I sometimes get dizzy thinking about that myself. However, too many
great philosophers have said things like: “If you think you can do a thing or think
you can’t do a thing, you’re right.” Henry Ford.or:
“Nothing is good or bad, except what thinking makes it so.” William Shakespeare
In the past, I would have read this kind of great quote and thought to myself
something like: “Oh that’s nice” and went on my merry way of doing what I’ve
always done and not getting what I wanted to get.
Today, when I hear or read such quotes I not only believe it in the deepest part
of my golfing body and mind, but I can teach it with the backing of science behind me.
Once you really believe in the Quantum nature of your own mindArticle Submission, all sorts
of good things happen to your golf game. Can you think of a time when
you played with pure joy and exhilaration? Have you ever had a time when
you stood over a putt…
AND YOU KNEW you were going to make it !? Have you ever played
with another golfer and just felt his or her attitude rub off on you?
And then you played better because of it? I want you to have more
of these experiences.

Tiger Woods - Man or Machine?

Monday, April 24th, 2006

So is Tiger Woods really the all dominating Terminator like cyborg, programmed to destroy all competitors on the golf course, or is he simply a human being? Is he just like you and me, with strengths and weaknesses and imrpovements he can make?

There is no disputing the fact that Tiger Woods has taken golf to yet another level. We know the more succesful we become the more we are targeted, both positively and negatively. Maintaining the top level in any sport not only requires that you try to maintain peak performance but mentally you can keep focused on retaining a positive and level headed attitude.Tiger’s ability to never give up is perhaps unsurpassed by any of his counterparts and the will to win never seems to dwindle.

On a more technical note, it is all to easy to criticise him when things don’t go so well. When he plays a bad shot or misses a three footer doesn’t mean his career is over, as some would like to shout, it simply means the poor man is human afterall. As we all know we learn from our mistakes, and this is something Tiger Woods does exceptionally well.

Tiger’s sometimes agressive swing with a driver and his passive touch with his wedge, is rather like a finely tuned engine, reving up to 8,000 R.P.M. then letting the motor idle means he can adjust the swing to suit the shot. Timing at the point of impact becomes critical in making a perfect stroke happen.

As a golf coach is is plain for me to see why sometimes his game comes off the boil and the few problems he has could easily be fixed, but I hugely admire and respect him just as I did with Jack Nicklaus, Nick Faldo and manyFree Reprint Articles, many others in their ability to keep the game at such a level that it makes others want to follow in their footsteps.

Jerry Newham is one of Europes finest golf coaches and director of the Sussex Golf Academy, one of the UK’s most popular golf schools. Thousands of pupils from all over the country attend golf lessons and junior golf lessons at his academy in order to learn the ultimate way to swing a golf club. His method is also available on his new DVD, The Swingmakers, out now at Amazon.co.uk.

Golf Betting Games

Monday, April 24th, 2006

This article provides useful, detailed information about Golf Betting Games.

Golf is a game that has international appeal. Generally considered to be an elite game, golf has a very big following among professionals and amateurs. Golf is played on specially designed courses, according to certain rules and regulations. For professional golf, these rules are governed jointly by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews (R&A) and the United States Golf Association (USGA). There are international championships held across the world for golf: the Masters, the Open Championship, the US Open and the PGA Championship.

The main objective in golf is to hit a ball with a club until it reaches the cup, and use the minimum number of strokes.

Like other professional sports, a lot of betting goes on in golf. Wagering about the outcome of a golf game is the main objective of golf betting. \”Matchup betting\” and \”betting to win\” are the two kinds of wagering for non-sports like golf, boxing and tennis. In betting to win, futures are set by odds makers before the start of the game. Futures are bets that are placed much in advance of the game, sometimes months in advance. Betting to win is most common for professional championships like the Masters. In matchup betting, the wager is placed on the event\’s winner. It is one individual against another or one individual against a group, which is known as group matchup betting. One advantage of futures odds is that they are not set but can be adjusted by sports books. The odds depend on the number of players as well as the kind of players, and the likelihood of top players to win.

Some of the top golf betting games are: Nassau, Round Robin, Sandies, Bingo Bango Bongo, Barkies, Wolf, Arnies, Aces and DeucesFree Articles, Gruesome and Criers and Whiners.

Judging Golf equipment with common sense

Golf — Judging Equipment With Common Sense

Proper grip, stance, posture, swing — all essential to the game. But don’t forget you are doing all those things with golf equipment and, like any product, some are better than others. Here are a few things to consider when looking for clubs, shoes, and all the rest.

This article will help you since it is a comprehensive study on golf

Equipment, like people, comes in all shapes and sizes. The reason is simple: those differently shaped and sized people! Golf is played by young children, men and women of all races and builds. Manufacturers have risen to the challenge by offering products to match that variety.

For the younger players, shorter and lighter clubs are a given. Accept that your young teen isn’t going to do well playing with your adult set. Many women, too, fit into this ‘less-tall, less-strong’ category and need equipment suited to them.

Clubs for those individuals have lightweight shafts and smaller diameter grips. Clubs that are too heavy will be difficult to control. A club that’s too long or too short will throw off your stance and your swing. Too long and the toe of the club will tend to point further up, causing a tendency to hook. Too short and the iron will have a toe that points toward the ground. That’s a recipe for slicing.

The best way to judge length is by holding at least three different length clubs and checking to make sure a natural swing contacts the clubhead at the sweetspot.

In addition to length, clubs have flex and torque ratings.

Contrary to myth, shafts do not tend to lose stiffness over the years, so buy the most expensive club you can afford. Worn grips are relatively inexpensive to replace. If you’re an adult and continue to play, you’ll use them for years before technology compels you to upgrade. If your clubs are more than five years old, you’ll want to investigate getting some of the newer clubs.

Flex is the amount a club will ‘pendulum’ back and forth in a plane. If the shaft is too flexible, you have less control and will tend to hook. Too stiff and your shot will lose distance, and tend to slice. Experiment is the only way to know what’s right for you.

Torque ratings measure the degree the shaft rotates counter and clockwise as you look down on the shaft toward the head. As the ball compresses against the clubface, the shaft is rotated slightly by the impact. Both the de-compression of the ball as it comes away from the head, and the rotation of the shaft back to the starting point contribute to a controlled, long flying ball. Start with 2.5, hit some long drives, and experiment to find what’s best for you.

Modern clubs have more variety in design. Longer heads, heavier heads, cavity-backed heads, titanium vs steel vs. graphite vs aluminum shafts, head inserts all make subtle differences. But picking one depends critically on your swing speed and style and other personal factors. The best advice is to be patient and investigate which, of those you can afford, gives you the best results. Read reviews with a skeptical eye.

Even if you are a stranger in the world of golf, once you are through with this article, you will no longer have to consider yourself to be a stranger in it!

A Few Words About Shoes

The average recreational golfer will spend several hours once a week walking a couple of miles or more. At the same time, he or she will be tensing feet and hoping for a solid footing, twisting, springing, etc. All this calls for quality footwear.

Thinking of life without golf seem to be impossible to imagine. This is because golf can be applied in all situations of life.

It would be hopeless trying to get people who are not interested in knowing more about golf to read articles pertaining to it. Only people interested in golf will enjoy this article.

We have written a humorous anecdote on golf to make it’s reading more enjoyable and interesting to you. This way you learn there is a funny side to golf too!

As with clubs, by the best you can afford. In this case, since they’ll wear out much more often than clubs — buy a little better than you can afford. They’ll usually last enough longer than to justify the expense. Of course, don’t rush out your first weekend and buy $400 shoes. Make sure you are going to play for years to come first.

When buying shoes with spikes (not allowed at all courses!), make sure there’s no spike directly beneath the ball of your foot. That tends to produce sesamoiditis, a too-common-among-golfers pain in the ball of the foot.

When trying on prospective shoes, wear the same size and thickness sock that you’ll wear on the course. Naturally, they shouldn’t bunch at the toe, nor tend to slip inside the shoe.

We have used clear and concise words in this article on golf to avoid any misunderstandings and confusions that can be caused due to difficult words.

It is only through sheer determination that we were able to complete this composition on golf. Determination, and regular time table for writing helps in writing essays, reports and articles.

Check the foot by putting weight on one side and wiggling your toes. On tiptoe, the shoes should bend where your foot does, across the toes. There should about a half-inch of space from your big toe to the inside of the shoe.

Leather tends to shape itself to the foot and also helps to keep out moisture. Save the running shoes for jogging.

golf is basically an interesting topic to write about, as you know I am passionate about golf I have enjoyed myself immensely writing this topic, I hope you enjoyed reading it.

Winning Is Not The Only Thing With Free Online Casinos

Tuesday, November 30th, 1999

Some people believe that if they do not win at an online casino, they won’t enjoy the experience. When you gamble at an online webcam casino, and you want to have a good time do not think only about winning. The key for playing at an online casino, is to play for the fun of the game. Especially, on the new exciting live webcam casinos like WagerX.com that have the same Vegas feel with live webcam dealers. Only play if you really want to. Choose to play at an online casino as another form of entertainment like the cinema or theater. You really do not have to expend money, there are many free online casinos, and you do not even need to leave the comfort of your home.

Just look for an online casino of your liking, and start having fun. Most of the online casinos have random number generators, but some of the new casinos are based on a live webcam casino platform. To have fun, it does not matter which is your favorite casino game: Baccarat, Sic-Bo, Roulette, or Blackjack. Find a casino that provides the games that you want. IF you don’t want to spend that much money you can play the free games. This allows you to test the online casino before spending any money.

Then, if you do win some money, it would be an added bonus. Do not make winning at an online casino your main purpose to use this media. Have fun and if you win, then, enjoy the extras. So, just relax, and let the casino entertainment begin.

Play for fun at an online casino like WagerX.com.

Accommodations are a Vital Aspect of Vacation Planning

Tuesday, November 30th, 1999

When making travel plan, one of the most important details is going to be your accommodation. Most people worry and fret over flight plans or rental cars and breeze right through the accommodations and choose the very first room they find available within a reasonable distance from the local airport.

This is very rarely a wise course of action unless you are doing a one-night stay in town and desire to be very close to the airport for the sake of convenience. There are several reasons why this is true. First of all, not all airports are located in the safest area of town. Families tend to prefer nice quiet areas in which to raise their children, airports are generally anything but a quiet area in which to live. While most airport accommodations are reasonably clean, this doesn’t really guarantee that they are equally secure.

Second, these hotels and motels often charge a premium rate in exchange for the convenience of their location. In this day and age, we pay for perks and location is most definitely considered a perk in the realm of travel, if in doubt, check the prices for hotels on the Disney property vs. those on the outskirts of town.

Third, and perhaps most importantly, those hotels located closest to airports generally are further away from the area attractions. If you are vacationing with your family you will enjoy much better use of your time by limiting your travel time between destinations and attractions.

The final reason that it isn’t always best to choose accommodations close to the airport is that you may find the amenities designed for families to be somewhat lacking. Hotel airports tend to cater to the single in and out business crowd rather than family entertainment. These accommodations will be sparse and the quarters a little closer than the average family would probably appreciate.

Take care when making travel arrangements for your accommodations that you consider all of these things. This will make for a much more enjoyable vacation for you and your children.
